Having cats means that they are everywhere you go and everything you own is theirs. I no longer consider our furniture ours, but see it as Kiki’s and Koko’s scratching posts. No matter how many times we stop them and put their paws on their actual posts, it still does not matter. Somehow the couch is better. The same goes with anything else that we own such as my yoga mat or workout chair. I recently started doing P90X because I gained a lot of weight over the winter and have no endurance or strength. I mean it is hard for me to go up and down a pair of steps and I think that is the reason I even tell myself not to go and take a walk outside. We live a block away from a farmers market but I dread going outside, that’s how bad I have become. Anyways, as I’ve started my P90X journey as they call it, so have Kiki and Koko started sniffing and walking around me. If I’m doing a plank, they try to squeeze under me and I have to make sure they are not around where I can accidentally hurt them. They are just so nosy and can’t stop their curiosity from getting the best of them.

I took these pictures after my workout and no my yoga mat is not dirty it just looks like that because it has become their new scratching post. I will probably be purchasing a new yoga mat in no time at all due to my amazing cats.

Cousin Smoki lives in Canada where he likes to eat tuna. While Kiki and Koko hate all things sea-food except for the Pet Greens Semi-Moist Cat Treats Deep Sea Tuna. It is the only fish-treat that they like. Here is a picture of beautiful cousin Smoki and his great selection of daily food and treats. Since he was a kitten he been eating Blue Buffalo Kitten formula and after he turned one, he started to eat Blue Buffalo Longevity dry food. He loves his Temptations treats and gets a clean smile with his Greenies. Cousin Smoki is sure living the good cat life in Canada!

Every once in a while we get updates from Canada with a picture or two of our cousin Smoki. He sure is getting big! He eats The Blue Buffalo dry cat food and is looking very healthy. He is going to be two on May 14th 2012 and he looks so different from the year before. Well, here is a picture of Smoki sleeping on the couch and using the side as his pillow, just like the way Kiki and Koko do it.

Our Kiki and Koko are scared of noise as most cats are, I presume. They scare each other more than anything. The other night, Koko jumped on our bed and was cleaning herself, getting ready for bed when she heard a weird noise. The noise was coming from the kitchen and was made by Kiki but the face expressions that Koko made were priceless! She really looked shocked and scared. Her curiosity got the better of her and she jumped off the bed in search of the noise.
It is even cute how she looked at us as if to say; ‘Did you hear that?’ Yes Koko, we sure did.

After this she turned around, jumped off the bed and was off. Cats! Don’t you just ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM?! We sure do!

Kiki and Koko are going to be two in less then a month, and they have gone through a lot of food, treats, and other cat supplies. It seemed that every month we were in the pet store purchasing something new for them whether it was new toys, treats, pet grass, and so on. We just recently realized that we get five dollars for every 100 dollars that we spend in Petco but you have to print the coupon and bring it to the store or use it online. I would have never known this if I did not order their last food online. All those times I could have saved five dollars each time and I did not even know! So, we did our research and it turns out that you can get even better deals online on other stuff like toys and grooming products somewhere else. Kiki and Koko love to go to places where they really should stay away from. The kitchen is the place they really love to explore and without our permission of course. Usually when we watch the television in the living room, we would hear a little thud here and there and we immediately know that someone is on top of the fridge, inside the flower plant, or on top of the oven. Lately, Koko has been all over the place and recently I found her inside the cabinets over the fridge. The cabinet door was closed and there is heavy plate that I placed so that they would not be able to open the door. When I walked into the kitchen, she managed to move the plate out of her way and was walking all over inside the cabinets. So I got her out and placed a vase and a box on top of the fridge so she would not be able to open the door again. The next day I went to the kitchen and took out a plate for my food and for some odd reason I did not close the door all the way. Next thing I know, I head a little sound and see Kiki looking up at the cabinet door over the sink. And what do I find next, Koko of course, exploring the other side of the kitchen.

My little trouble maker…How she always likes to surprise me.

I had to snap a few pictures before I got her out of the cabinet, which she really was not too happy to be out off.

I understand that cats love to explore and be on high-grounds but I really do not want to have her get hurt. What if she broke a glass cup and got really hurt? My Koko, have to love her from head to toe but she worries me with her little explorations. I just have to make sure to close the cabinet doors each time, all the way!!

This is a picture of Kiki and Koko’s cousin Smoki that lives in Canada. He is getting big just like his cousins in New York City. In this picture, he was sleeping peacefully in the linen closet, until he was rudely awaken by a flash.

Koko is a beautiful cat and we just absolutely love her to pieces! It is hard to take pictures of her, especially at night, but when we do we can’t stop looking at her lovely eyes.

When Koko looks up, you can always see a little part of her tooth! It is adorable beyond words. She is unique and special in every way and Mommy loves her very much!

Kiki just loves to go to Daddy’s side of the computer when he is working and rolls around. She pushes the keyboard out of her way, makes sure to mark the computer screen with her teeth, and leaves a trail of her hair everywhere! She loves Daddy so much that he can’t help himself but indulge in her play. Ah Kiki, how we love thee!

Here she is saying ‘Please play with me!” and of course we have to oblige.

The pile of hair she leaves on the keyboard, around the computer and of course the screen is just…too much for words.

Kiki loves to control us, especially at night right before bed time. She will usually bring a toy to bed, meow and beg to play. Here she is with a toy she isn’t too found of, but still plays with when she looses all her other toys under the couch.
